Pharmacy boosts mobile app with drug interaction feature

Patients can look for possible drug interactions using their smartphones, thanks to a Drug Interaction Checker that CVS Caremark has added to the CVS Mobile application. Users can easily compare details on over-the-counter medications with those for other OTCs or prescription medicines. "Our new Drug Interaction Checker empowers our customers to make important decisions about their health with a convenient tool that determines whether an over-the-counter product may impact the prescriptions they are taking," said Brian Tilzer, senior vice president and chief digital officer at CVS Caremark.
