U.S. factory orders bump up in May

U.S. factory orders climbed 2.1% in May, building on a 1.3% rise the previous month and pointing to stabilization in the sector. The Commerce Department figures were slightly better than economists' forecasts for 2% growth. Looking ahead, "we're expecting a second-half growth story, which should promote better investment," said economist Bricklin Dwyer of BNP Paribas in New York.
