The vegetable-growing center of Spain bounces back

Spain's Almeria province reported a 3.5% rise in exports of fresh fruits and vegetables in the first four months of the year compared to the same time period last year. The growth is a significant accomplishment for the region that suffered a dramatic decline about two years ago, when salad growers there were incorrectly linked to a German E.coli outbreak. Growers in Almeria provide about 44% of Spain's fresh vegetable exports.
