Warned by Putin, Snowden drops Russia plan

After receiving a warning from Russian President Vladimir Putin not to continue releasing classified documents on the U.S. government's widespread surveillance program, leaker Edward Snowden has dropped a bid to stay in Russia and is asking 21 other countries to accept him. The U.S. government is negotiating with Russia to hand over the former contractor, who has contacted nations including Poland and Austria for asylum.
