University of California program targets hunger, obesity

A University of California faculty-led program to reduce hunger and obesity and foster sustainable agriculture will include creating campus food pantries and ways for farmers to provide food sold to students, university President Janet Napolitano said. The program also will add food-related topics to other subject areas and create student fellowships to promote food research.
