Wyo. state education board halts work on new science standards

The Wyoming State Board of Education has voted to suspend the work of a state education department committee reviewing new science standards. The board doubted the committee's ability to come up with acceptable standards after the state Legislature barred it from using Next Generation Science Standards. Districts will continue to use standards adopted in 2008 until the state adopts new ones.
