AMA proposes how to handle obesity language for children

While the CDC and many health care providers take the gentler approach of not using the word "obese" with children, a new proposal suggests taking a more direct approach and using the term with all patients, whether they are children or adults. The proposal, from the American Medical Association, would be designed to address the obesity problem more directly.
