Whole Foods CEO adds $10 million to small-farm budget

John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods Market vowed to increase the supermarket chain's support to small farms by adding $10 million to the company's yearly budget toward locally grown products. Mackey said the pledge would be long-term, following food writer Michael Pollan's criticism that Whole Foods harmed the organic market by industrializing it and sacrificing its ideals.
