County OKs financing plan for Maryland minor league ballpark

Charles County, Md., commissioners have voted to adopt new financing for a $25.6 million minor league stadium being built by Maryland Baseball. Under the deal, the county will finance the team owner's share of construction costs with low interest bonds, and in exchange, Maryland Baseball will make a one-time payment of $1 million to cover potential construction cost overruns.
