Opinion: Laptops prepare girls for high-tech world

As school leaders question the value of giving laptops to students, one Virginia media specialist has found that middle and high school laptop programs may help introduce girls to computer science and other high-tech careers. "Administrators who complain that laptops are not producing the test score gains they hoped for have focused on the wrong goals," she writes.
