Cancer experts focus on individualized care

A panel of cancer experts discussed efforts to target the disease through more personalized therapies, and a National Cancer Institute official added that breakthroughs in genomics will prompt major treatment changes. FDA Commissioner Andrew C. von Eschenbach said agency officials are working to gain better insight into how cancer drugs work to help ensure the safety and efficacy of such medications.
