Change in EU biofuel target could affect investments, French firm says

French company Sofiproteol said it would evaluate its long-term investments in biomass-based biofuels if the European Union decides to change its 10% target for biofuel use by 2020. The firm recently unveiled a $189.4 million project with France's Atomic Energy Commission, Air Liquide and the Petroleum Institute aimed at devising new methods to produce biodiesel.
