CMS report shows EHR incentive payments inch up

The percentage of eligible professionals who received EHR incentive payments inched up from 55.3% in April to 55.4% in May, the smallest increase since June 2011, according to the latest CMS report. The percentage of hospitals that earned incentives rose 2% during the same period. Overall, the CMS has paid about $15.1 billion in EHR incentives since the program was launched in January 2011.
