Government gives one-year postponement on certain employer health care requirements

In a Treasury Department blog post, the government announced a one-year postponement of the information-reporting requirements for insurers and self-insuring employers and for employers who provide health coverage to their full-time employees, as well as for the implementation of the shared-responsibility penalty for large employers who fail to provide minimum health coverage for employees. Proposed regulations formally postponing the effective dates of the provisions are expected soon.
