Mizuno shoes see big branding bump after Texas filibuster

The rabid social media sharing of a recent hourslong filibuster by Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis, wearing a pair of Mizuno Wave Riders, has boosted the Mizuno brand online 35% while the Wave Riders climbed 375% on the Web, according to Kontera. Mizuno, which has not weighed in on the abortion issue surrounding the filibuster, has seen its digital branding rise 396% on political websites.
