The right way to make a hiring decision

Companies often look for a specific degree or level of experience when hiring sales professionals, writes Jim Keenan. These "sourcing criteria" are a good way to develop a list of candidates, but you should not use them when making your final hiring decision, Keenan writes. Instead, you should evaluate applicants based on whether they have shown an ability to do the job for which they are being considered, he writes.
