Scientists: Reactions in space are "cheating" laws of physics

Scientists have found that chemical reactions in very cold areas of space are "cheating" the laws of physics through a phenomenon called quantum tunneling. Such reactions had been thought to be impossible, but the study found that reactions within cold interstellar gas actually happen 50 times faster than at room temperature.
