Teacher: Knowing when to compromise, take a stand

In this blog post, eighth-grade teacher Ariel Sacks writes that there are times when teachers should not compromise. For example, Sacks writes that she would not choose to compromise on using a scripted curriculum. Also, as the teaching profession continues to change, she expects she and her fellow teacher leaders will be asked to consider compromise. It's important, she writes, for educators to understand their limits and recognize when it is important to take a stand.
