Why a rock star joined the Special Forces

Jason Everman was a founding member of Nirvana and went on to join Soundgarden -- two bands that sold 100 million records between them. After getting booted out of both bands, Everman joined the Special Forces, and says he gets a bigger high from combat than he ever did from playing to packed stadiums. "The bond of locking shields with each other, working together to defeat a common enemy. ... This is living," he says.
