Why a rocker joined the Special Forces

Jason Everman was a member of Nirvana and Soundgarden -- two bands that eventually sold 100 million records between them. After getting booted out of both bands, Everman joined the Special Forces, and he says he got a bigger high from combat than he ever did from music. "The bond of locking shields with each other, working together to defeat a common enemy. ... This is living," he said.
