Calif. district adopts 3E computers for the fall

A California school district has committed to ordering 23,000 3E computers -- manufactured for the K-12 education market by Panasonic and created in collaboration with Intel and Microsoft -- making it the first large district in the country to do so. Officials say the purchase, which amounts to about one-third of the district's $30 million Going Digital 2015 project, is enough to supply every student in the district with a device.
