Data system helps Utah hospital save on costs

The University of Utah is using a data system that can monitor care quality and costs for each patient. The information is then shared with clinicians to help them find ways to enhance care at reduced costs. In the first year of using the system, the hospital was able to trim almost $2.5 million of its budget.
