Study: Dark chocolate could help improve walking among PAD patients

Among individuals with peripheral artery disease, consumption of dark chocolate resulted in a modest improvement in walking compared with milk-chocolate intake, according to an Italian study on the website of the Journal of the American Heart Association. "Serum epicatechin and its methylated metabolite significantly increased only after dark chocolate ingestion," researchers wrote.
