Yahoo continued its acquisition march this week buying Xobni, a developer of applications for managing e-mail service and address books, in a deal announced Wednesday reportedly worth $30 million to $40 million. Xobni expects Yahoo to continue to support the app for one year, although premium versions will no longer be sold. Yahoo said Xobni will be integrated into its own mobile and PC communications software. In CEO Marissa Mayer's 12 months at Yahoo, the company has invested heavily in mobile-app firms.
