AOL's Live 8 coverage a success

America Online's live video streams of Live 8 broke records Saturday and more than 5 million people watched the concerts on AOL at some point in the day. The free coverage was part of an effort to market AOL as a free, advertiser-supported Web portal, and its surprising success might show in the amount of online traffic the archived performances get.
