Radio companies that broadcast traffic reports to drive-time listeners are branching out, offering sophisticated, localized traffic alerts to users via subscription over mobile devices. As WINS executive editor Mark Mason said, "While we have to continue to be in our users' ears, we also need to be in the palms of their hands -- where they are, whenever they are."
