Hurdles remain for government cybersecurity program

Development of the federal government's Einstein cybersecurity system is being held up by technical obstacles and privacy concerns, and it won't be fully installed for 18 months, according to reports. The system, which has been in place for seven years, currently only notifies staff of attacks but doesn't block the attacks, and a more capable version of the software has led to privacy worries that have delayed its implementation.
