Survey: CPOE adoption slowly gaining popularity

A survey of chief information officers showed that 199 out of 335 organizations have "at some level" adopted computerized physician order entry systems. However, only 8.5% of the respondents expect full CPOE adoption by next year. The study was conducted by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives in Ann Arbor, Mich.
