Generic résumé advice may not apply to IT

Résumé-writing advice from professional career counselors or recruiters may not apply to IT résumés, Meridith Levinson writes. An IT-focused résumé should be filled with relevant details -- no need to keep it under two pages -- and should repeat responsibilities you've held at different jobs, when necessary. "A lot of hiring managers do Control-F: They're looking for something specific, like budgeting. They want to see how many times budgeting comes up on your résumé," Sapphire Technologies' Shana Westerman notes.
