NCI introduces website to help women quit smoking

The National Cancer Institute on Independence Day launched an online community that features tips, free counseling and other resources aimed at helping women quit smoking. Although there has been an increased awareness among women about the dangers of smoking, the institute recognizes that women have to deal with specific issues that make them addicted to nicotine, including their desire to control their weight.
