5 crucial skills students must be taught for college and the workplace

Middle-school teacher and author Heather Wolpert-Gawron shares strategies for helping students master five crucial skills they will need in college and the workplace. Wolpert-Gawron advises educators to give students language to use when working to develop consensus through collaboration and tools for effective professional communication. To better prepare students for life's challenges and deepen their knowledge, she suggests students be asked to develop their own assessments and be able to ask their own high-level questions.
