Court backs EPA on giving permits for 3 coal facilities

A federal court has ruled that the Environmental Protection Agency may issue permits to three coal-fired power plants in Kentucky, allowing them to move on with construction projects. The Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia dismissed a suit from an environmental group that said EPA was legally required to deny the permits to prevent "significant deterioration."
