Study: Continuous monitoring aids children with type 1 diabetes

Using continuous glucose monitoring devices helped regulate blood glucose levels by up to 45% of the study period and increase monitoring compliance in children with type 1 diabetes, experts reported at the annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association. Though not a highly recommended therapy among parents, the findings suggest that using CGM tools could be safe and effective for young patients, researchers added.
