Study: Negative effects not linked with larger dosages of omega-3s

Food-safety regulators in Norway did not discover adverse effects associated with the use of up to 6.9 grams daily of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid. The Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food Safety said that "no tolerable upper intake level could be established."
