Study ties obesity to breast surgery complications in women

A study in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery found that obese women opting for breast enhancement, lift or reduction procedures were 12 times more likely to suffer from surgery complications than their non-obese counterparts. Experts said the odds of having procedure-related complications were 18.3% in obese patients and only 2.2% among those with normal weight.
