USDA allocates $2.5M to food-safety training initiative

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is providing Cornell University and six other colleges with $2.5 million in grant money to support a collaborative effort among the schools to train teachers, students and other professionals in food safety. The initiative will cover undergraduate degree programs, research projects and intensive workshops focused on food security.
