ACA delayed amid pressure from business groups

The Obama administration's decision to delay enforcement of the Affordable Care Act's employer mandate surprised business industry leaders, who pushed for the delay amid concerns about not having sufficient time to adjust to the law's new regulations. "There was a lot of pressure. The law goes into effect in January, and all the regs aren't out. Employers and employees were confused," said Judith Thorman, IFA's senior vice president of government relations and public policy.
