Airlines halt Mexico flights as Popocatepetl ejects ash

Several U.S. carriers, including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, canceled flights into and out of Mexico City and Toluca on Thursday as a precaution against volcanic ash being spewed from Popocatepetl volcano near Mexico City. However, a spokesman for the Benito Juárez International Airport says the airport maintained normal operations and has received no ash fall as of Thursday afternoon.
