Alaska celebrates 100 years of aviation

Events have been planned throughout Alaska this summer to celebrate the first airplane flown in the state on July 3, 1913. The Wasilla Air Show, scheduled for today, features a fly-in and meet-and-greet with pilots. The Anchorage Museum at the Rasmuson Center is also displaying an exhibit called "Arctic Flight: A Century in Alaska Aviation" through Aug. 11.
