Analysis: NFC still requires consumer education and Apple's participation

A lot of consumer education remains to be done for NFC-enabled payments to take off, said Cezary Pietrzak, director of marketing at appboy, New York. On the technological side, the capabilities are there, and NFC devices proliferate, but Apple's refusal to include NFC on the iPhone remains one big barrier, Pietrzak said.
