Congressional Budget Office predicts innovations in elder care

The Congressional Budget Office predicts a boomer-driven surge in experimentation with different ways of caring for the elderly and providing a place to live safely. "The projected growth in programs that devote many of their resources to addressing the needs of elderly people ... will generate pressure on federal and state budgets, suggesting that various forms of experimentation will probably occur in the future as part of attempts to reduce costs," the CBO report says.
