DIYers embrace hand-churned butter

The reemergence of canning kicked off the do-it-yourself food movement, and food-lovers are clamoring over even the most basic items with a handmade twist -- including hand-churned butter. "I think it's kind of a response to the computer age," said food writer Bee Wilson. "We're just spending so much of our lives living in a sort-of virtual capacity, staring at things, that's it very therapeutic to do things again."
