EAA seeks to reverse ATC fees in U.S. Court of Appeals

The Experimental Aircraft Association filed a petition with a U.S. Court of Appeals protesting the $450,000 the Federal Aviation Administration required it to pay for air traffic controllers at AirVenture. "While we understand the FAA's position and the temptation to augment its congressional appropriation, we naturally don't agree since we believe this approach unlawfully circumvents congressional approval and standard due process," said EAA Chairman Jack Pelton.
