UN office: Funding is urgently needed for food, health programs in Sahel

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has only received $600 million of its $1.7 billion 2013 funding request for food and health needs in Africa's Sahel region. OCHA says 4.9 million young children and pregnant women are at risk of acute malnutrition.
