Footbridge brings world-class architecture to small California city

Hopes are high that a new bridge designed by a world-famous architect will become a new landmark for the small Northern California city of Redding. The $23.5 million footbridge was designed by Spain's Santiago Calatrava -- the architect of this summer's Olympic Sports Complex in Athens, Greece -- and its delicate, translucent design symbolizes the small city's essence.
