New K.C. schools chief hits the ground running

In his first day on the job Wednesday, new Kansas City School District Superintendent Anthony Amato announced he will tap the expertise of current staff rather than "clean house" and will focus on building more K-8 schools, among other initiatives. The former New Orleans schools chief said he'll never use the excuse that there's not enough money to make progress.
