Pupusas a hit, now that diners know what they are

Salvadoran pupusas are prepared by stuffing thick corn tortillas with pork, refried beans and other ingredients. When Maria Diaz first converted La Flor de Michoacan in Sacramento, Calif., into a Mexican-Salvadoran restaurant in 1992, she had to give her pupusas away for free, but now they're so popular she has opened a second restaurant.
