Research: Bran-enriched flour boosts fiber content in food

Using bran-enriched flour as an ingredient in cookies or tortillas increases the final product's fiber content, and tasters in the study were unable to detect a difference in taste. A high-fiber diet has been shown to lower cholesterol levels, the U.K.'s Food Standards Authority says.
