Climate bill may include compromises to win passage

With 60 votes needed in the Senate to pass any major legislation, energy-bill compromises on such issues as offshore drilling and nuclear plant funding are being put on the table for discussion. While key senators are holding out commitment to represent the interests in their states, environmentalists say they may not like the outcome, given the number of giveaways the House allowed in its bill.
