Employers look to cut costs through domestic medical travel

Many employers are offering domestic medical travel programs to encourage their workers to undergo high-quality, low-cost surgeries at health care facilities within the U.S. rather than overseas. Employers say they can negotiate with medical providers for a single rate, resulting in cost savings of as much as 40%, even including travel expenses.
